General FAQs

Where do I get my wristband?

Upon arrival at the Muster one of our Community Group volunteers will be there to greet you and point you in the direction of General Camping areas (if you are camping). Once you are ready to enter the Festival precinct head on down to the entry gates.  You will need your Muster Ticket and ID with you as this will be scanned at the entry gates and exchanged for your Muster wristband. 

Can I replace my wristbands?

Not without proof of purchase. Damaged or defaced wristbands will not be accepted and wristbands which are removed or tampered with will be rendered invalid and will not be replaced. Replacement is not available for lost, destroyed or stolen wristbands, unless proof of purchase is presented.

What time can I go into the Muster each day?

The Muster runs over the following times:

  • Thursday, Friday, Saturday 8.30am start in the Crow Bar for the Poets breakfast and finishes in the Crow Bar 2am,
  • Sunday 8.30am start in the Crow Bar for the Poets breakfast and finishes in the Crow Bar approx. 10pm

Do I need to bring my e-ticket?

Your ticket enables you access to the Muster for the day/s your ticket is valid.  Upon entry to the Muster site, you must present your e-ticket print off. The name on the e-ticket must match the identification provided for this person.  Upon presentation of your ticket, you will be provided with a RFID wristband which must remain on your wrist for the duration of the Muster.  This wristband will enable you access into the entertainment precinct for the days your ticket is valid. Your RFID wristband will also be an optional way of purchasing food, drink and/or items onsite.

Does my ticket include camping?

Yes.  All of our ticket types include camping.

Can I bring my car?

Yes. For those attending for just the day you must park your car in the day parking area. For campers each campsite is allowed one car parked next to it.

Are there any powered sites?

Yes! There will be a limited number of powered campsites (these sites will be in one location). Power wil be supplied by a generator. If you do order a powered site, please make sure to bring the correct extension cords as Electrical Inspectors may cut electrical cords that are not up to standard.

Are there showers?

Yes. We have sufficient communal showers and toilet facilities are in the camping areas for your use. These will be available from Tuesday 22nd August 2017.

Is there Water available onsite?

Yes.  There is drinking water available for purchase at various locations throughout the Muster precinct.  Tanks of drinkable water are located throughout the campsite from Tuesday 22nd August 2017.  Patrons are not permitted to fill caravan or motorhome tanks from these drinking water facilities.

Are there dump sites at the Muster?

Yes. There are areas in the camp grounds for people to empty their toilet and showers in the camp grounds.

Can I bring my pet?

No. Animals are not permitted anywhere on the Muster site (including campgrounds), except in accordance with the law. We permit the use of Guide and Assistance Dogs within the Muster and camping areas. If you are camping with your Assistance Dog, please respect other patrons by cleaning up after your dog.

Can I bring/have my own Alcohol in the camping area?

The Camping Area is a BYO Alcohol Licenced Area.  Patrons are not permitted to bring any glass into the Camping Area, and this extends to alcohol products.

In response to our liquor licensing restrictions and obligations, We reserve the right to set restrictions on the quantity of BYO alcohol per person which is brought into the site by patrons.

In response to our liquor licensing restrictions and obligations, You are not permitted to bring kegs of alcohol into the camp site for consumption.

We encourage all patrons to drink responsibly.  Police and security will be monitoring anti-social behaviour to ensure that all Muster patrons can have a good time.

The entertainment precinct is a licensed premises and BYO alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the entertainment precinct. Glass bottles and containers are a safety issue for all of our patrons. As such we do not permit glass on site.  Glass containers may be confiscated or destroyed and failure to comply with reasonable direction may result in eviction.  We are a family friendly event, so please keep that in mind and drink responsibly.

Can I light a campfire?

Fire bans will be in place from 9am to 5pm. We will be advised by the local authorities closer to the event if a total fire ban will be in place.  As we are in a State Forest please do your part by ensuring all campfires are contained (within a fire ring or similar protective barrier).   The Rural Fire Service will be patrolling to ensure patrons behave responsibly when hosting campfires.

Can I purchase Firewood onsite?

Yes. You can relax and save yourself the trouble of carting firewood to the Muster site – we have one of our Community Groups who will be selling firewood on site.

What’s the weather like?

August at the Muster site is generally warm during the day and very cool at night, with average temperatures at around 26 degrees during the day and 7 degrees at night.

Bring both comfortable clothing for the day and plenty of warm clothes and a good sleeping bag or lots of blankets for the nights.

If there is bad weather and I decide that I don’t want to come, will I get a refund?

No. The Muster is an all weather event and will take place rain, hail or shine. As part of the Terms and Conditions that you agreed to when purchasing your ticket No refunds will be made if You choose not to attend due to inclement weather.

Is there accommodation available off site?

Yes. There are Motels, Hotels, B & B’s in Gympie, the Mary Valley and the Noosa region. Refer to the Website.

What Security is on site?

We have Police, Fire and Emergency Services and First Aid staff on site for the duration of the Muster. A private security firm is also on site during the Festival.

Do you have Food and Market stalls on site?

Yes. There is a wide variety of Food and Market stalls at the Muster. If you are interested in applying for a stall site you should ring the office to book or inquire about a spot.

Companion Card Holders?

You may enter the festival free, go ahead and purchase your ticket, once you have your confirmation email which contains your order number then contact Moshtix customer service to arrange your companion’s complimentary ticket. Customers must have a valid ticket and show their companion card (along with their complimentary companion ticket) at the Festival Entry gates. No card or invalid cards will result in your companion being denied entry. Tickets may be available to purchase at the box office subject to availability.
